    Director, Chartered Architect

    Blair Macintyre founded BWMA with a clear ambition: to bring Scandinavian context and clarity to contemporary architecture. A Scottish Chartered Architect and a member of ARB,RIAS and RIBA, he has extensive professional experience shaped by working across the Nordic countries and studying principles of American and Japanese modern living.

    As Director and founder of the practice, Blair leads the design vision across all projects. His work is grounded in proportion, material integrity and longevity, reflecting a belief that architecture should feel calm, purposeful, quietly confident yet characterful, Blair guides each project from initial concept through to completion.

  • Michael McEwan

    Senior Architectural Assistant

    Michael has been with BWMA for over five years and holds a Master of Architecture (MArch) and a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) in Architectural Technology.

    He is an established and integral member of the practice, bringing depth and a strong blend of creative and technical expertise across a wide range of projects and sectors.

    As a Senior Architectural Assistant, Michael plays a key role in developing thoughtful, well-resolved design concepts and translating them into detailed, buildable solutions. He combines clear design thinking with technical precision, ensuring that projects are both visually compelling and deliverable. His knowledge and coordination skills support the successful progression of projects from early design concepts through to delivery.

  • Aimee Florence Jackson

    Architectural Assistant, Design & Maker

    Aimee has been part of BWMA for over a year and holds a Masters qualification in Architecture from The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture. She is recognise within the practice for her consistency, precision and disciplined approach to project support.

    Aimee refines drawings, coordinates documentation and safeguards details across all stages of delivery. Her steady focus ensures that each project is delivered with clarity and accuracy, giving clients confidence as their ideas move steadily towards completion.

  • Joe Inman

    Architectural Assistant, Design & Maker

    Joe joined BWMA in 2024 and holds a Masters of Architecture from The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture. He brings a highly creative and visionary perspective to the practice, contributing energy and originality to the early stages of each project.

    Working closely with the Director, Joe develops spatial concepts, models and visual studies that explore and refine the client brief throughout the process. Joe's strengths lie in shaping compelling ideas and helping clients clearly visualise the potential of their project before it progresses into technical delivery.

  • Fennella Rogalewska

    Practice Manager

    Fennella is the newest member of the practice and brings over ten years' experience in senior administration. As Practice Manager, she oversees the operational framework that supports the Director and design team.

    She manages client communication, programme coordination and day-today practice operations, ensuring projects remain organised and on track. Fennella provides the structure and reassurance that guides clients confidently from initial enquiry through to completion.
